Math, Physics & Engineering Tutor

I start with why.
Everything else follows.

High school through graduate level. Ten years of teaching experience. An engineer who does the work — and knows how to explain it.

I work with high schoolers, college students, working professionals, and graduate engineers.

Ezra A.

Not just a tutor.
A practicing engineer.

I'm Ezra! I have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Robotics, and I work as an engineer professionally. That means the subjects I teach aren't things I studied years ago; they're tools I use.

Most students who struggle with math or physics aren't missing intelligence. They're missing context. Textbooks start with formulas; I start with where the formula comes from and why it matters. Once that clicks, the rest is just details. I've taught everyone from high schoolers dreading AP Calculus to graduate students working through coursework, and I adapt to what each student actually needs, not a fixed script.

Don't take my word for it.

"He challenges you to actually think in order to ingrain topics."

"I really like that the professor engages the students and also gives 1 on 1 help. I think it really helps to better understand the material."

"Very helpful and will explain concepts again in a different manner if you didn't quite understand the first time. Never condescending."

My professional background

Robotics is what I actually do.

The math and engineering I tutor is the foundation of my career — autonomous systems, medical robotics, ROS 2, SLAM, controls. If that's your world too, I have a dedicated page that goes much deeper.

What I teach

Whether you're struggling or want to get ahead — high school through graduate level.

01
Algebra & Precalculus
Algebra 1 & 2, precalculus, trigonometry, and prealgebra. Building real intuition before the hard stuff hits.
Algebra 1 & 2PrecalcTrig
02
Calculus
Limits, derivatives, integrals, series. AP Calculus through multivariable. The math that unlocks engineering.
AP CalcCalc I–IIIDiff. Eq.
03
Physics
Mechanics, electricity, waves, and beyond. High school through college level, including AP Physics.
AP PhysicsMechanicsE&M
04
Statistics & Linear Algebra
Probability, statistics, and linear algebra — the mathematical backbone of data science and engineering.
StatsProbabilityLinear Algebra
05
Test Prep
ACT Math & Science, SAT Math. Prep from someone who understands the material cold, not just the test tricks.
ACT MathACT ScienceSAT Math
06
Programming
C, C++, and Python from first principles through applied engineering use. Includes MATLAB for computation, simulation, and data analysis.
PythonC++CMATLAB
07
Statics & Dynamics
Forces, equilibrium, kinematics, and kinetics. Core mechanical engineering courses where a lot of students hit a wall.
StaticsDynamicsFBDs
08
Mechanics of Materials
Stress, strain, deformation, and failure. Connecting statics to real material behavior — where a lot of engineering intuition gets built.
Stress/StrainBeam bendingFailure
09
Thermodynamics
Thermodynamic cycles, energy systems, entropy, and heat transfer. A course where the concepts matter as much as the math.
